These are tricky times for students, so WKD is doing its bit with a series of tongue-in-cheek online competitions to provide things the sponging layabouts don’t usually want to spend their money on: text books, food shopping, kitchen utensils.
Sadly, the RTD brand’s generosity doesn’t extend to paying 10 grand fines for having house parties during lockdown.
Under the campaign banner of ‘Your Wish is Student Granted’, WKD is offering students opportunities to win a variety of items by responding to social media posts. The campaign will reach over half a million students and, in typical WKD-style, prizes range from spatulas to coursebooks to the weekly grocery shop.
Alison Gray, Head of Alcohol Marketing at brand owner SHS Drinks, said: “The autumn term isn’t panning out quite how students had hoped so we’re offering some useful prizes to help them along the way.”
