Yazoo is rolling out new packaging across its core 300ml, 400ml and one-litre portfolio.
Making a splash from this month, the new look dials up the flavoured milk brand’s taste credentials with new visuals that feature an on-pack ‘high in protein’ splash.
To avoid wasting old packaging, the new bottles will be phased in throughout October and November.
Yazoo’s updated bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic, besides the sleeve and cap. The previous sleeve has been replaced by a new perforated one with an easy-pull tab. Likewise, the new bottles feature tethered caps to help reduce littering and support ease of recycling.
The packaging refresh is supported by organic social content and paid digital marketing spend, as well as in-depot POS. It will also benefit from the halo effect of Yazoo’s recent £3m campaign that included a TV ad seen by approximately two-thirds of UK adults at least once.
Maren Fuhrich, Brand Manager for Yazoo at parent company FrieslandCampina, said: “Sustainability has always been a key business focus for FrieslandCampina and we have robust goals to meet in our own sustainability programme, which aims to deliver against meaningful measures to reduce single-use plastics in our packaging.
“Globally, by 2025, we endeavour to have 95% of our packaging recyclable and/or reusable, whilst by 2050, we aim to be fully climate neutral. We all have a role to play in making the world a greener place.”
