Women in Wholesale (WiW) is working with training organisation Aiding Mental Health to offer one-third off the cost of Mental Health First Aid online training.
Mental Health First Aid is the mental health equivalent of a physical first aid qualification.
The two-day online course leads to a certification accredited by The Royal Society for Public Health and the Department of Health and usually costs £300 + VAT per person.
WiW will host a ‘Closed Group’ training session with Aiding Mental Health at a discounted rate of £200 + VAT per person. Members can register interest here.
Research shows that workplaces that promote mental health awareness are more likely to increase productivity, reduce absenteeism, and benefit from the associated financial gains.
According to research by University of Warwick, addressing wellbeing at work increases productivity by up to 12%.
“One in four people are affected by mental health issues in the UK – and it’s a problem that’s only been exasperated by the pandemic,” said WiW Founder, Elit Rowland.
