Quaker Oats is giving convenience retailers the opportunity to win a breakfast fixture makeover, free Quaker sampling for customers and a raft of products to help their shoppers beat the winter blues and maximise on the hot breakfast sales opportunity.
To be in with a chance of winning this exclusive prize, retailers simply need to send their name, address, email and telephone contact number on a postcard to the address below.
The winning store will be decked out with winter warmers including heaters, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) lamps and branded thermals including jumpers and gloves to help retailers and their customers combat the effects of winter.
Quaker’s consumer insight has revealed that as winters become warmer, temperature is less of a driver in motivating shoppers to purchase hot cereals. Apparently it is the effect of shorter, darker days that drives them to do so.
This phenomenon is a key factor in the breakfast brand’s marketing. Matt Goddard, Field Sales Director at PepsiCo, explained: “As a result, this year we will be focusing on when the clocks go back on the 30th October and helping retailers and their local communities feel more positive about winter.
“This latest activity is designed to encourage retailers to stock up on Quaker Oats to meet consumer demand during the winter months. It will also help to drive consumers into the winning store, giving the winning retailer a fantastic opportunity to drive sales.”
With 10.5% more consumers choosing to consume breakfast and the hot cereals segment driving 5% of the entire cereals category, the Quaker Oats range is available in several pack formats:
