Whyte & Mackay is adding Harveys and Spanish brandy Fundador to its portfolio of brands, effective from 1st April.
“We are pleased to be welcoming the UK’s leading sherry brand Harveys into our portfolio,” said Nick Garland, Chief Commercial Officer at Whyte & Mackay. “We are also delighted to be working with Fundador. Made at the world-renowned Bodegas Fundador in Jerez Spain, the brand’s lineage goes back to 1730, the first and finest of the brandies distilled in that country.”
Mark Riley, Managing Director of Maxxium UK said: “We are proud of the successes we have achieved with Harveys and Fundador and wish Whyte & Mackay well for their continued development. This new agreement allows us to focus resources on our leading global whiskies, cognac and vodka brands to drive accelerated, sustainable and profitable growth for the long-term health of the spirits’ category.”
In November 2015, Whyte & Mackay owners Emperador bought the Fundador brandy and sherry business from Beam Suntory. The agreement included the Fundador, Harveys, Terry and Tres Cepas brands, as well as production operations in Jerez and Tomelloso, Spain.
