PepsiCo has unveiled Walkers Max Strong, a new range of spicy ridged crisps aimed at beer lovers and intended drive cross-category sales.
Rolling out now, Walkers Max Strong is available in three fiery flavours ranging from medium to extra hot – Chilli & Lime, Hot Chicken Wings and Jalapeño & Cheese. All flavours are available in Sharing Bag (150g, RSP £1.99) and Grab Bag (50g, RSP 80p) formats. There is also a Jalapeño & Cheese Clip Strip Bag (90g, RSP £1) launching from mid-March. Each flavour was designed to complement different types of popular beer.
Distinctive packaging clearly highlights Walkers Max Strong’s relevance for beer lovers, and the launch is supported with TV, digital and sampling activity. POS materials including FSDUs, counter top units and clip strips are available, although retailers in Scotland won’t be able to cross-merchandise in the BWS aisle.
