Walkers is launching larger cases across its Walkers and Doritos price-marked packs.
The move, which Walkers said will help retailers make the most of PMPs, sees cases grow from 15 to 18 packs.
It comes as price-marked packs continue to drive the savoury snacking category in convenience, with the sharing PMP segment now 48% larger than it was two years ago.
Mike Chapman, Head of Wholesale at PepsiCo, commented: “By making our case sizes larger, retailers can not only avoid losing sales but also continue to meet shopper demand for PMPs. The new cases will roll out across best sellers from our core HERO 25 range, providing an excellent choice for stores looking for strong returns from well-loved brands that deliver on taste and enjoyment.”
Spar retailer Mandeep Singh added: “As retailers, we are always looking for ways to streamline our business and ensure we are offering our customers the products they want. The larger PMP cases will allow us to better manage our stock with the demand for PMPs we are seeing, without taking up valuable space in our stockroom.”
The move will also help Walkers meet its broader sustainability goals, as the business continues to look to reduce the amount of packaging it uses. The bigger case sizes are set to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 4%.
