Venus targets busy women with latest launch

Gillette Venus is launching a pair of razors aimed at women who lead busy and active lifestyles.

Venus Snap with Embrace is the brand’s first ever portable razor, which has been developed to provide instant smoothness on-the-go and which Gillette says will leave legs feeling smoother for longer. The compact mini handle is interchangeable with Venus Embrace five-blade refills and is designed to fit into any handbag.

Venus Embrace Sensitive razor uses Lubastrip technology with ‘3x Glide Enhancers’ to create a thick cushion between the razor and skin. Dermatologically tested and accredited by the Skin Health Alliance, the new razor aims to deliver a closer shave with less irritation.

To encourage trial and drive growth into the female shaving category, Venus is offering consumers a ‘Love it or your money back’ on-pack promotion on the new razors.

Gillette Venus has also partnered with TV presenter and radio host Emma Willis to launch the new ‘Use Your And’ campaign which aims to inspire and encourage women to celebrate the different qualities that make them unique.

John Drake, Head of Emerging Channels for P&G, said the latest additions to the Venus range offered strong sales opportunities for retailers as summer approaches.

“The new Venus Snap with Embrace and Embrace Sensitive razor lines have been designed with the goal to provide the most convenient and effective shaving experience to busy women today,” he commented. “They should be stocked alongside core Health & Beauty products in-store to make the most of seasonal impulse sales.”
