Heinz is introducing a Duo Pots offering to its Beanz and Pasta range, in response to growing consumer demand for quick and easy meal solutions.
The canned Beans and Pasta category is significant within the UK grocery market contributing £400m. Heinz says it is leading innovation by launching a new format answering mums’ need for a quick and convenient meal solution.
The Duo Pots range is packaged as two individual portion sized pots and each pot will provide consumers with one of their five a day and can be microwaved in one minute. The new range launches with five varieties: Heinz Spaghetti Hoops and the top licences within the Heinz pasta range including Peppa Pig, Angry Birds, Ninja Turtles and Hello Kitty (all are 2 x 190g, rrp £1.29). Heinz is also set to launch its Spaghetti range as a four pack snap pot offering (4 x 190g rrp £2.19).
The launch will be supported by a £3m advertising campaign throughout August and September. It will target mums during the back-to-school period, aiming to demonstrate Heinz Beanz and Pasta as “a quick and nutritious meal option that provides great flavour and happy tea times”.
