Protein bar brand Trek has launched a new High Protein Low Sugar range that bucks the sports nutrition category’s reliance on artificial sweeteners.
The new bars are made with 100% naturally sourced ingredients and are available in the wholesale and convenience channels from May in 55g singles (RSP £2.88). Smaller bars will also be available in Sainsbury’s stores, both in 44g singles (RSP £1.92) and multipacks of 3x44g (RSP £4.95).
The core High Protein Low Sugar range includes Choc Caramel and Choc Peanut Butter variants, accompanied by a new High Protein Biscoff bar. Naturally sweetened using chicory fibre and stevia leaf extract, each bar is also high in fibre, 100% plant-based, free from artificial sweeteners, and delivers 12g-15g of plant-based protein.
The launch will be supported with a social media and digital campaign; sampling; and activation across Trek’s key sports and exercise partners, Saracens and Run Through.
