The Today’s Group has been ranked first in the Buying Group performance area in the recent annual Advantage Group survey.
The survey asked a series of questions about the performance of Today’s Group – compared with other wholesalers – to supplier partners from a variety of national and global organisations.
In addition, Today’s Group was ranked second overall versus all six wholesalers serving the retail trade included in the Advantage Group survey and second compared with all seven foodservice wholesalers who participated.
Darren Goldney, MD of the Today’s Group said: “It is our aspiration to be first choice business partner, and therefore we are absolutely delighted to have been ranked number one in the Buying Group performance area, receiving the positive feedback that we have on how well we collaborate with our partners and have progressed since last year.
“What is really important, however, is that this result confirms that our journey to evolve from ‘Buying Group’ to ‘Selling Group’ will aid us in getting to number one overall, which of course remains our aspiration.
“We know that we can continue to improve, with the Advantage Group insight proving useful in identifying areas that still require attention. The good news is that we are already developing improvement plans with our supplier council.”
