The National Lottery’s I Am ParalympicsGB campaign has launched in retail.
The campaign follows hot on the heels of the Lottery’s celebration of Team GB’s Olympic success, and thanks players and retailers for their role in funding Britain’s Paralympic athletes through the buying and selling of lottery tickets.
Two special EuroMillions draws – one today (9th September) and the one on the following Tuesday (13th September) – guarantee five prizes of £1m with each of the 10 new millionaires also winning the ultimate Rio experience. This is on top of the usual EuroMillions jackpot, with Friday’s currently estimated at £20m.
Camelot advises retailers to display dedicated posters supporting ParalympicsGB in-store for the duration of the Games, alongside POS materials featuring the Rio coastline and highlighting that 10 millionaires will be made.
Camelot’s Head of Retail Channel, James Pearson, said: “Retailers up and down the country have seen how Team GB’s success in Rio has led to increased sales and positivity about The National Lottery. And now we’ve got the Paralympics to do it all again, and to carry on that winning feeling. We hope that National Lottery retailers will make the most of these special EuroMillions draws and display their ‘I Am ParalympicsGB’ posters with pride. Thanks to their ongoing support, our players have raised over £80m a year for elite sport, supporting over 1,300 athletes in the build-up to Rio and beyond. That’s an incredible accomplishment, and retailers should make sure their customers are aware of the life-changing difference they have made.”
