Tennent’s Lager has revealed a new limited-edition gift pack in support of its sponsorship of Scottish Rugby.
The packs (RSP £10), which include two 568ml pint cans and a commemorative glass, are available now from JW Filshill and United Wholesale Scotland, as well as from Scotmid.
As the official beer of Scottish Rugby, the packaging depicts a packed BT Murrayfield stadium and players Hamish Watson and Finn Russell; while the glass features the Tennent’s and Scottish Rugby logos and images of players Stuart Hogg, Jonny Gray and Sean Maitland.
Twenty-five pence from each pack will be donated to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. Set up by Scottish rugby legend Doddie Weir – who revealed he had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) – the foundation raises funds to aid research into the causes of MND and investigates potential cures.
The packs have been launched ahead of the forthcoming Autumn Tests matches, which begins with the newly-founded Doddie Weir Cup, which will see Scotland take on Wales in Cardiff on November 3.
Norman Loughery, Off Trade Sales Director at Tennent’s, said: “We are proud of our recently renewed partnership with Scottish Rugby and are excited at the team’s prospects for the forthcoming Autumn Tests. Our limited-edition Scottish Rugby gift packs will engage fans as we look forward to a month of world-class rugby.
“25p from every pack will be donated to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, which continues to do incredible work in supporting research on Motor Neurone Disease. It is a cause that we are delighted to support, and one that resonates widely with rugby fans.”
