Tayto hits bullseye with darts deal

Pork scratchings

Tayto has launched its biggest-ever campaign for pork scratchings, sponsoring darts coverage on Sky Sports in support of Mr Porky Original Scratchings, Mr Porky Crispy Strips, and Midland Snacks’ Hand Cooked Pork Scratchings.

The sponsorship kicked off on 13 July with the World Matchplay tournament in Blackpool and continues all the way through to 3 January for the finale of the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace.

Running across four major tournaments, the campaign will be seen by six million people, delivering almost 300 million views.

Matt Smith, Tayto’s Marketing Director, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with Sky Sports on this landmark TV sponsorship. Darts and pork scratchings are the perfect partnership. Helped by the ‘Luke Littler effect,’ darts is on a roll, as are pork snacks as the fastest growing segment in Savoury Snacks.”
