Retailers looking to capitalise on growing demand for vegan, local, free-from and sustainable foods can check out Greencity Wholefoods, which is exhibiting at stand 631 at Scothot 2025 in Glasgow SEC from 26th – 27th February.
The Glasgow-based wholesaler of fine food and drink supplies businesses in Scotland, the North East of England and Ireland with a range of over 5000 vegetarian, vegan, Organic, locally-sourced, Scottish, Fairtrade, free-from, ethical and eco-friendly products.
Originally founded by just four members in a tenement flat on Hamilton Park Avenue in Glasgow, the organisation has gone from strength to strength, and now has over 50 members. Now based on Fleming St, in Glasgow’s East End, near the M8, the group is well-placed to service customers the length and breadth of Scotland with its own fleet, as far north as Aberdeen, all the way down to Newcastle.
Operating as a worker co-operative, all Greencity staff have a say and a vote in how business is conducted. The group endeavours to treat customers, suppliers, the community and their workers with fairness and respect and champion co-operative working as a successful alternative business model.
