Takis set to paint crisp aisle blue

Takis Blue Heat

Rolled tortilla chip brand Takis has added to its range of bold and intense flavours with the launch of Blue Heat.

Already popular internationally, the striking blue snack delivers a combination of chilli and lime flavours.

It is the brand’s number two flavour in the US and will be available nationwide from 5 March from Booker in 55g £1.25 price-marked packs. A 100g plain pack (RSP £2) rolls out in Bestway on 10 March.

The launch taps into continued demand for spicy snacks in the UK, with the ‘Heat’ segment outperforming Total Crisps at +9% value sales in the last year. The Takis brand has grown 10% in value sales over the same period.
