The National Trust for Scotland and oats company Stoats have teamed up to create the Stoats Creepy Crawl, a new Halloween-themed family event which will take place at 11 National Trust sites over the weekend of October 27–29.
Families will explore gardens, woodlands and grounds at some of Scotland’s top heritage sites to complete some traditional and some new Halloween challenges. ‘Crawlers’ will have to guise for their prize – singing a song or telling a joke to receive a goody bag, which includes a balloon, sticker, spooky specs and a Stoats Porridge Oat Bar.
The Stoats Creepy Crawl takes place at Crathes Castle, Fyvie Castle, Newhailes, House of Dun, Falkland Palace, Bannockburn, Holmwood, Pollok House, Culzean Castle, Robert Burns Birthplace Museum and Brodick Castle.
Children are encouraged to come along in fancy dress, with prizes for the best costumes including Stoats goody bags and day passes for the National Trust Scotland.
Stoats is also running an on-pack competition, giving consumers the chance to win a ghostly getaway to Fyvie Castle in Aberdeenshire. Twenty-five National Trust family memberships, 75 family day passes, and 25 Stoats goody bags are also up for grabs.
Olivia Stone, Marketing Director at Stoats, said: “Halloween is increasingly an important time for retailers and gets bigger every year. As a Scottish company, it’s great to be supporting long-standing Halloween traditions, with a few new twists too. Our tasty porridge oat bars, made with premium Scottish oats and natural ingredients, make the perfect snack to keep little ones fuelled while out and about, enjoying some spooky fun.”
