Stirling Distillery toasts Tokyo athletes with OlympiGIN

Olympigin

Stirling Distillery has launched limited-edition OlympiGIN in celebration of the Tokyo Olympics.

The gold-flaked gin is made from Stirlingshire nettles and Japanese yuzu, blended to create what the distiller says is a “winning combination spirit”.

The gin is limited to 500 bottles and will be sent to British and Northern Irish Olympic and Paralympic gold medal winners from the Games. However, this means the more medals won, the less bottles there will be for purchase.

The gin is the creation of Stirling’s new head distiller Lisa Matthews and the eye-catching bottle was devised by Scottish graphic designer Megan Raine.

A percentage of the profits from the sale will be donated to UK charity Sported, which promotes fairness and equity for young people through grassroot sport and physical activity.
