Scandinavian Tobacco Group UK (STG UK) is releasing a second edition of the Gantry Guardians Guide to Tobacco to help retailers get preparations underway in their stores, ahead of the display ban.
Part II will provide retailers with concise information and useful tools such as a countdown calendar, highlighting the crucial actions they need to take each month before the market goes dark. The Guide also includes peer-to-peer advice from STG UK’s Gantry Guardians, who have contributed their opinions and experiences to help create this new advisory guide.
James Higgs, Head of Marketing and Public Affairs, commented: “Since the launch of our project in June, we’ve been working closely with our Gantry Guardians to support them and other retailers on the various factors that need to be considered ahead of the display ban. With less than six months to go until the arrival of the dark market, retailers need to be strategic in their preparations. Our countdown calendar is ideal for supporting retailers through this process and can be kept behind the till to help keep them on track with their planning.
“Our focus for the months ahead is to support retailers through this transitional period and ensure they’re ready and more importantly, compliant, by the time the display ban arrives in April. The simple steps and advice outlined in our Gantry Guardians Guide to Tobacco Part II will help them to prepare and reduce the chances of falling sales once the gantries all go dark.”
