Spar Scotland will launch its largest national brand campaign to date, called BIG Deals of Christmas, tomorrow (5 October).
Taking place in Spar stores around the country, the campaign will support Spar Scotland’s ongoing mission of bringing value to shoppers’ doorsteps. Over the course of 13-weeks Spar Scotland will be launching a new big deal on market-leading festive favourites every two weeks, up until the end of the year.
The campaign has been brought to life through a series of animations that centre around Santa Claus and his elves, Norty and Nice, who are on a mission to bring the BIG Deals of Christmas to Spar shoppers. Each of the seven BIG Deals will have their own animation, and are voiced by the legendary Brian Blessed, renowned for his big voice.
Spar Scotland is supporting the campaign with a host of activities including digital advertisements showcasing the seven deals, in-store POS to highlight the incredible price points and the deals will be upweighted in advertisements on STV. There will also be huge social media support with videos and reels involving Spar Scotland colleagues to bolster BIG Deals product activity. Customers will be encouraged to follow Santa Claus’ journey via the Spar Scotland social accounts, where there will be Christmas inspirations and activities to win BIG Deals and prizes.
A Spar Scotland lorry will also be decked out in a vehicle livery and will travel up and down Scotland promoting the campaign. In addition, Spar Scotland will be running a competition for Scottish care homes to win one of 4 x £250 prizes to go towards their Christmas parties.
Colin McLean, Chief Executive for Spar Scotland, said: “We are putting an enormous amount of support behind this campaign, because we know these big deals will be of huge benefit to our shoppers and will allow us to help them make a big deal of Christmas.”
