Spar has relaunched its own label premium gin range under ‘The Harmonist’ brand name.
New-look Spar Rhubarb & Ginger Gin bottles are in stores now with Spar Original London Dry Gin following suit in the New Year.
The new name signifies the harmony of the 10 botanicals infused to create the gins. Redesigned labels highlight the gin’s key premium cues and also include the signature of master distiller Louise Hayes.
The bottles now feature thicker, heavier bases and a cork instead of a screw cap for a more modern appearance. The flavour profile for both liquids remains unchanged.
Adam Georgiou, Spar UK BWS Brand Manager, said: “The gin category has seen rapid growth in recent years as consumers respond to the innovating variations available. Gin is the most popular white spirit in the UK and as own label gin accounts for 21% of the market share, we felt it was the right time to rebrand the Spar premium gin range as ‘The Harmonist’ range.”
The Harmonist gin (70cl, ABV 40%) has an RSP of £20.
