Spar Scotland’s Market store in Crosshouse, East Ayrshire, has hosted a Christmas party for local residents.
On the day, Santa Claus handed out Christmas goody bags, selection boxes, and prizes. There was face painting and Spar Scotland’s iconic Spin the Wheel was also in action, where lots of prizes were up for grabs including two x £250 Spar vouchers. There was also a festive get-together for children from the local Crosshouse Primary School.
Browning’s Bakery and Rollover Hotdogs were also in attendance to offer customers free product samples during the event.
At the in-store party £500 was donated to Crosshouse Primary School, Crosshouse Hospital, Crosshouse Children’s Fund and Crosshouse Community Council, respectively.
Spar UK’s national charity partner Marie Curie was also present at the party raising money for its nurses.
In addition, the in-store party allowed Spar Scotland to launch a joint initiative with food-to-go supplier Rollover Hotdogs. Over the weeks leading up to Christmas, every hotdog purchased will see both Rollover and Spar Scotland donate to Marie Curie.
Sonya Harper, Spar Scotland Central Operations Director, said: “We had a fantastic afternoon bringing Christmas cheer to Spar Crosshouse. The atmosphere was very special, and it was great to see all the smiling faces of shoppers and staff.”
