Coronavirus may have brought the world to its knees, but every cloud and all that. SLR Towers’ resident Scrooge couldn’t keep the smirk off his face as he read a press release recently bemoaning the fact that this year’s Christmas parties might have to be cancelled. A socially distanced Christmas, he proudly announced, was his idea of heaven.
The release even came with a list of socially distanced Christmas party ideas which the auld boy took glee in reading out to his less anti-social colleagues: fancy dress conference calls anyone? Secret Santa by post? Microwave Christmas dinner?
