SLR contributor Stephen McGowan has been shortlisted in the Lawyer of the Year category at this year’s Scottish Legal Awards.
McGowan, who is Head of Licensing for TLT Solicitors, writes a regular column for SLR answering alcohol retailing questions.
SLR Rewards sponsor TLT is also a finalist in the Community Contribution category, recognising the Scotland team’s extensive contributions that make a real and sustainable difference in the local community.
McGowan leads the largest licensing practice in Scotland at TLT, and has achieved exceptional recognition for his contributions to the leisure and retail industries as well as licensed trade and licensing practice-related charities and organisations.
He is one of only seven solicitors accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Licensing Law.
“I am honoured to be shortlisted for this award which really is recognition for all of my colleagues at TLT,” said McGowan. “We are lucky to have such a cracking group of people who are really passionate about the work they do and the clients we represent.”
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Glasgow on March 15.
