Sir Chris Hoy visited the home of his official bottled water sponsor, Highland Spring in Blackford, Perthshire, yesterday to launch the company’s new limited edition bottle – Hoyland Spring. The standard silver detail on Highland Spring’s bottles has been replaced with gold on an exclusive 1.5 litre bottle to honour his incredible sporting achievements. The product will be available throughout October and November.
Chris Hoy has been a Highland Spring sporting ambassador for four years and works closely with the company to encourage more people to get active by hosting sports days and events across the country.
The super Olympian said: “Highland Spring sent me a private supply of Hoyland Spring water earlier this year and I thought it was brilliant! I’m delighted they’ve taken it one step further and are giving people the chance to buy it. It’s been an incredible summer of sport and such an inspiration to everyone, and it’s great to see brands like Highland Spring helping to extend that good feeling further.”
Sally Stanley, Group Marketing Director for Highland Spring, said: “We are so proud of Chris and his achievements and it’s a major honour to have him as a sporting ambassador. We wanted to keep the feel good factor alive in the best way we could and that was to develop a limited edition bottle as a fun tribute to Chris. Chris is a wonderful role model and we will continue to work closely with him to encourage people to try new sports and to adopt a healthy active lifestyle.”
