Disposable vapes are set to be banned in Scotland as soon as this year, media reports suggest.

The reports say the ban will be UK-wide after cooperation between the Scottish, UK and Welsh governments.

The UK-wide ban could be in place by the end of the year, but the legislative process may mean it is not in force until 2025, according to the media reports.

A statement from UK minsiters is expected on Monday (29 January) relating to a potential UK-wide ban.

Five million disposable e-cigs are thrown away every week in Britain.
