Naud (Noble and Unusual Distillery) has launched Ron Venezuela 12 Year Old Golden Rum, in collaboration with Venezuelan distillery Destilería Sofa.
Ron Venezuela is aged for 12 years on the outskirts of Caracas then matured for around six months in French oak casks in the Cognac region of France where the family-owned Naud distillery is located, before being bottled at 41% ABV.
The result is an aromatic rum, with delicate notes of mocha and muscovado sugar. Light hints of coconut, cedarwood and oak are also present, due to the use of ex-bourbon casks in tropical conditions.
Chris Jones, Managing Director at Naud’s UK distributor Paragon Brands, said: “With the rum market continuing to grow in 2024, we’re confident that Ron Venezuela’s unique origins and delightful palette will excite the tastebuds of rum enthusiasts everywhere.”
Naud Ron Venezuela 12-Year-Old Golden Rum is available in 70cl bottles from Paragon Brands, RSP £46.99.
