Handmade dessert company, Pots & Co., is moving its entire ceramic range into premium glass pots that are 100% recyclable and 100% reusable as part of its commitment to the long-term sustainability of the brand and category.
The new glass pots, which are embossed with the Pots & Co. logo, can be recycled kerbside, or reused at home in a variety of different ways, to help reduce waste to landfill.
The introduction of glass marks a departure from the colourful ceramic pots which have housed the desserts since they first launched in 2012. The change has been driven by increasing consumer demand for brands to switch to more sustainable packaging. The move is also helping to reduce production costs, allowing the company to decrease the RSP of individual pots.
The glass pot launches alongside a new sleeve design, helping to highlight the premium desserts’ USPs on shelf to consumers. The updated packaging design showcases how every Pots & Co. recipe been written by top restaurant and Michelin-trained chefs, using finest ingredients. Every dessert includes no artificial ingredients or preservatives, and it is hand made at the Pots & Co. kitchens in London.
The Pots & Co. range includes Lemon & Lime Posset, Salted Caramel & Chocolate Ganache, and Summer Berries & Mascarpone Cream. It also extends to plant-based flavours such as Passion Fruit & Banana Posset and Salted Caramel & Chocolate Ganache.
The pots are available from Booker, Cotswold Fayre, and Cress & Co. The Lemon & Lime and Salted Caramel & Chocolate Ganache have a reduced RSP of £1.99 (previously £2.20). Limited-edition Summer Berries & Mascarpone will also be reducing to £2.15 (previously £2.30).
