The Paper Shop, a long-standing newsagents situated in Pitlochry, has been put on the market.
The store is set on the main commercial thoroughfare in Pitlochry, close to the central car and coach parking, and the nearby train station. The open-plan business enjoys steady trade as the sole newsagents in the town.
The current owners of the Paper Shop have moved away from the typical ‘newsagents’ with only one small paper round remaining. However, the hospital and hotels still place their orders daily.
In addition, the store sells a variety of gifting confectionery, soft toys, books, Scottish confectionery, and coffee.
The business also benefits from an attic, which is currently used for extra storage, but could potentially be converted to a one bed flat.
Liam Bain, Business Agent at business property advisor Christie & Co, said: “In the eight years our clients have been running the store, they have generated excellent profit margins for the business.
“With such a popular trading location in Pitlochry and an overall sales mix currently generating a healthy gross profit in excess of 31%, there is a good foundation to work from. This is an outstanding opportunity to acquire a freehold business in a thriving community.”
