Palmer and Harvey has been announced as the distribution partner for UK charity Marie Curie in its 2015 Great Daffodil Appeal, helping to save the charity thousands of pounds in costs and raise even more money to care for terminally ill people.
P&H is providing warehousing and distribution for collection boxes and daffodil pins. To date, over 24,000 boxes of daffodils, including over 2.8 million daffodils pins and other supporting material, have been distributed to the charity’s regional community teams throughout the UK.
Managing Director of Palmer and Harvey, Martyn Ward, said: “In addition to the support we provide to existing charitable causes, I am delighted that we are able to support Marie Curie. With a small amount of input from ourselves, no financial outlay and by maximising our distribution network, we are able to make a real difference to the charity and ensure that even more money can be raised and go to providing nursing care and support to terminally ill people, and their families.”
Nicky Read, Head of Corporate Partnerships for Marie Curie, commented: “The Great Daffodil Appeal makes it possible for Marie Curie Nurses to provide hands-on care and vital emotional support for people living with a terminal illness. The support from Palmer and Harvey will contribute significantly towards this care.”
