Carlsberg Britvic has launched a duo of new Pepsi zero sugar colas that the newly formed drinks mega-giant says will give retailers the chance to recruit younger shoppers to the cola category.
Labelled Pepsi Treats, the new range includes Strawberries ‘N’ Cream and Cream Soda flavours.
Both come in 500ml plain and price-marked packs; multipacks of eight cans; 330ml cans; and a 1.5-litre format exclusive to Strawberries ‘N’ Cream.
Rolling out from 29 January across selected grocery before becoming widely available in convenience and foodservice, the new range is supported by point-of-sale materials, free case promotions, and a comms campaign targeted at recruiting new Gen Z shoppers into cola.
The launch taps into increasing demand for flavoured cola, which is growing three times faster than unflavoured cola, driven in the main by its popularity with Gen Z.
