P&G has revealed that its leading brands Pampers and Fairy are teaming up with UNICEF UK for the seventh consecutive year, to raise money for life-saving tetanus vaccines this Christmas to help eliminate Maternal & Newborn Tetanus (MNT).
Maternal & Newborn Tetanus still threatens the lives of 130 million women and their babies in 33 countries across the globe. Available now, the special Pampers and Fairy Non Bio UNICEF packs include the ‘1 Pack = 1 Life-Saving Vaccine’ logo and for every specially marked product purchased, P&G UK will donate the cost of one tetanus vaccine to UNICEF.
The initiative will be supported by a nationwide marketing campaign including TV and online advertising, PR, direct mail and POS to raise awareness amongst consumers.
Paul Lettice, Head of Trade Communications at P&G, comments: “We are truly thrilled to be working with UNICEF again this Christmas to help protect mothers and newborn babies across the world. The extensive marketing support for the campaign will ensure consumer awareness is higher than ever in the run up to Christmas, so retailers should ensure they are supporting the campaign by stocking special UNICEF packs.”
