After a successful 2024 campaign, One Stop has brought back its Easter Hamper project for 2025, donating over £30,000 worth of seasonal treats to people in need.

Both independent and company-owned stores, as well as distribution centres and head office teams, were gifted a sum of money to create Easter hampers. Colleagues donated their hampers to local charities, community groups and regular customers.

One Stop St Pauls Road, Peterborough, personalised their hampers and filled them with a variety of Easter eggs and kindly donated them to the children’s ward at Peterborough city hospital.

Ella Malyon, Store Manager of St Pauls Road, Peterborough, said: “Every year we try to do something to support children in our local area. This year we wanted to make sure all children who spent Easter in hospital could still be part of all the Easter fun”.

One Stop Crewe Road, Haslington, supported their local food bank by using their Easter hamper budget and Easter egg donations to ensure families who use the foodbank regularly, received an Easter egg this year.

The One Stop team at Bridge Road, Sarisbury Green store used their hamper funds (and customer donations), to gift Easter eggs to a local primary school.

“Each year, our Easter Hamper project never fails to show just how passionate our colleagues are when it comes to supporting their local community,” said Jack Taylor, Community and Partnerships Manager at One Stop.It feels so empowering knowing we can help support individuals, charities and communities who may need a sprinkle of some Easter fun!”

The convenience retailer has also donated Easter eggs to a Nottingham-based charity called Epic Partners, who run youth groups, as well as to their charity partner Young Lives vs Cancer, cancer homes called ‘Home from Homes’. These homes look after young people with Cancer as well as supporting their families.

Nilesh Patel, Partnerships Fundraiser at Young Lives vs Cancer, said: “A massive thank you to One Stop for the donation of 490 eggs this Easter. They were a lovely surprise for all of the children, young people and families staying at our Homes from Home over the weekend.

“Young Lives vs Cancer provides accommodation close to hospitals, where families can stay together during treatment for free. Being able to offer these treats at Easter helped bring light to young people and families while facing treatment.”
