Too Good To Go

Nisa’s independent retailers have reached a milestone with surplus food app Too Good To Go, saving 150,000 meals since the relationship began in 2019.

Every week between 1,200-1,300 meals are saved across the more than Nisa stores currently signed up with Too Good To Go, which equates to a saving of 375 tonnes of Co2e.

Ian Bacon, Regional Retail Manager at Nisa, said: “Every Nisa store that has so far partnered with Too Good To Go have given positive feedback about how simple the app is to use and the impact on the local community.

“We are all very aware of the cost-of-living crisis and the Too Good To Go app is one way that Nisa retailers can offer support to their shoppers really effectively.”

Sophie Trueman, Country Director UK/IE, added: “Since partnering with Nisa in 2019, their commitment and active involvement have made them a valuable partner in our mission to reduce food waste. The Nisa team has consistently demonstrated their dedication, enthusiasm, and provided invaluable support.

“Together, we have successfully saved 150,000 meals to date, a significant achievement in our efforts to reduce food waste. This milestone reflects our shared commitment to sustainability and the positive influence businesses can have when working together. With Nisa’s continued support, we look forward to reaching new milestones and making an even greater impact.”
