Nisa has kicked-off a three-week-long Cider Festival, in anticipation of increased demand due to the threat of some good weather arriving to these shores.
The event runs until April 16, and is a repeat of a 2016 promotion. It aims to help members drive additional sales with competitive pricing and offers on a varied selection of ciders. Themed POS, including shelf talkers, hanging signs, bus stops, window posters, highlighters and shelf strips should help retailers create a bit of in-store theatre.
Last year’s Cider Festival achieved almost £1m in additional sales, and saw a 74% increase in sales of the ciders featured during the three weeks.
Ciders on promotion during the festival include 500ml bottles of Rekorderlig, Stella Cidre and Old Mout ciders at 3 for £5, Kopparberg 10x330ml at £10, individual bottles of Magners, Stella Cidre and Blind Pig at £1.50 each and Kingstone Press 12x440ml for £5.99.
Leanne Jarrett, Trading Controller for beer, ales and cider at Nisa, commented: “Following on from the success of our Cider Festival last year, we are confident that this event will provide a competitive offer for our members and their customers with some market-leading deals on a wide range of ciders.
“We hope the event will once again help to drive an uplift in sales and footfall for our members and help them to make the most of key trends within the convenience sector such as the growing world cider opportunity and the big night in shopper mission.”
