Nicola Sturgeon confirmed as a keynote speaker at SGF Conference

Nicola Sturgeon

Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will give the keynote address at this year’s SGF Conference, which takes place on 29th & 30th October.

This is the second year running that the keynote address at conference will be given by the First Minister. With an exciting new venue in RBS’s global HQ in Gogarburn in Edinburgh and an innovative new format, the two day conference is set to re-establish its position as the pre-eminent annual event for Scotland’s local retailers.

Organised in partnership with Scottish Local Retailer, the event will be chaired by Muller-Wiseman Dairies’ Business Relationship and Development Director Sandy Wilkie and will feature a stellar line up of globally recognised speakers including the First Minister and Royal Bank of Scotland Chief Economist Stephen Boyle.

SGF Chief Executive Pete Cheema said: “We are delighted that the First Minister has agreed to give the keynote speech at conference 2015. It shows clearly that SGF continues to have a high profile at the very top of government in Scotland. At conference 2014 Alex Salmond said that he would encourage his successor to work closely with SGF and its members and this announcement shows that he has been as good as his word.”
