New TV ad for Maynards promotion

Family 'celebrate like royalty' in Maynards ad

Maynards will be returning to TV screens this month with the launch of a new campaign to support its Celebrate Like Royalty on-pack promotion.

The TV ad sees a family enjoying a regal banqueting experience onboard a private jet. The father is making the most of the royal treatment and being hand-fed by the butler on board, while the grandmother can hardly believe that she is on a jet.

Launched earlier this month, the Celebrate Like Royalty promotion is giving consumers the chance to win a banquet on a private jet, worth £20,000, or one of 250 other banquets in locations including Lookout Lodge at Whipsnade Zoo, the On Top of the World restaurant in Las Vegas or the underwater Al Mahara restaurant in Dubai.

The 10-second TV ad is part of a £2m UK marketing investment for the promotion and will run for eight weeks across TV and video-on-demand. The campaign will be supported by radio, PR and digital activity.

Elisabeth Huelsmann, Senior Brand Manager for Bagged Candy at Mondelez International, said the campaign was sure to get consumers really excited.

She commented: “Retailers have a great opportunity to grow bagged candy sales, so should stock up across the range to make the most of increased awareness.”

Mondelez will also be treating five lucky retailers and their staff to a decadent dining experience worth £500. To enter, retailers simply have to tell Mondelez ways in which they treat their customers like royalty through great customer service. Competition entry is via the deliciousdisplay.co.uk website.
