KP Nuts is looking to boost category growth with a packaging upgrade and new modern look.
The new design offers upgraded foil packaging, with the golden rays that surround the KP logo enhanced to give stronger stand out on shelf. Furthermore, in a response to demand for improved functionality on KP Nuts’ sharing bags, a re-close label on larger packs (270g and 450g) has also been introduced.
Catering to the needs of the convenience channel, the brand has launched its Chilli flavour in a new 50g pack and introduced a £1 pricemarked pack range, available across its Original Salted, Dry Roasted, Salt & Vinegar and Chilli variants.
Worth £59m in retail sales value and growing 7.7% year-on-year, the brand has contributed to over half of the growth of the nuts segment. Featuring across the entire range, the packaging overhaul aims to further this performance.
Matt Collins, Trading Controller Convenience, KP Snacks commented: “Being eye-catching on the shelf is key on such a busy and often complex fixture. Whilst we want to maintain the brand’s heritage and popularity in the sector, it’s important for us to keep moving forward and stay relevant to today’s consumer. The new packaging with its modern design and metallic edging really delivers on this, ensuring the KP brand acts as a beacon for the nut category.”
