Londis has restructured its sales team and equipped them with new technology, promising retailers even more help in driving sales and profitability.
RSMs now operate in geographical regions and cover smaller patches, meaning more visits for retailers and a higher level of local knowledge. All have been armed with tablet computers which allow them to give on-the-spot insight and recommendations on store standards, refits, range and offer.
The team is bolstered by the creation of seven ‘business development controllers’, a newly created position in the structure designed to provide additional business development support to retailers looking to grow their business or understand its performance better.
Londis Sales Director, Scott Wharton, says: “The service, offer and support we give to retailers who partner with Londis are paramount. When they told us they’d like to see RSMs more, equipped to access their account information in-store, and with even greater knowledge of their area, we listened. That’s what this restructure is all about.”
Arjan Mehr, Londis NRC Chair, adds: “The new team and technology means that retailers who partner with Londis will get more time with RSMs who know their local area, with additional guidance available on demand from the business development controllers. It shows Londis is serious about giving retailers more help in building their business.”
