Shandy fans will be delighted to learn that Krombacher Radler is now available to the UK off-trade.
Imported by Morgenrot, the 50:50 mix of Krombacher Pils and bespoke lemonade has an abv of 2.5% and is offered in a 33cl bottle.
Tasting notes describes the beer as “perfectly balanced with the citrus tang providing enough room for the full-flavoured Pils to make its presence felt”.
Stephan Kofler, Krombacher UK Sales & Marketing Director, commented: “Krombacher has seen tremendous double-digit growth over the last three years so it is important that we keep the momentum going and we believe our Radler brand can help us do just that. It demolishes its rivals in the German market and with a growing trend for low alcohol beers, I think it’s the perfect time for it to be introduced.”
Krombacher will be headline beer sponsor at this year’s Dubtoberfest (the UK’s only Bavarian Volkswagen family festival) in July and will also be running events up and down country to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the German beer purity laws.
