Mars Chocolate is calling for the public to vote for their favourite M&M in a new campaign which will run until the end of May.
Consumers can choose between Ms Brown, Red or Yellow by visiting the M&M’s Facebook page. The three “candidates” will each have their own pack on singles, as well as pouches, across Peanut, Chocolate and Crispy M&M’s.
Mars is providing retailers with point of sale materials to support the campaign, which is also backed with TV, press, radio and social media activity.
Bep Dhaliwal, Trade Communications Manager Mars Chocolate UK, is confident the character vote will prove a hit with consumers in the run-up to the UK’s general election. He added: “We recommend retailers to stock up early on the special packs, support the campaign with POS to create some in-store theatre, and of course vote for their favourite character themselves!”
