Mentos adds some fizz to Fortnite

Mentos is making its debut on the Fortnite Creative gaming platform in a bid to become more attractive to a younger audience.

For the next two weeks, Mentos Fizzookas will be dropped into some of the most popular Fortnite Creative maps: ‘Piece Control 2v2’, ‘Piece Control 1v1’, ‘Troll Bed Wars’, and ‘Sky Wars’. These have an average combined audience of more than a million players per day.

The Fizzookas are custom rocket launchers that fire projectiles by using the same explosive energy unleashed by dropping the chewy sweets into a bottle of cola. Just google ‘Mentos and cola videos’ if you’re sceptical.

Their inclusion represents the first branded tactical item to be released in Fortnite Creative and comes as research has shown that one-third of Gen Z games daily and around 75% bash the buttons at least once a week.

The activity is backed by a global online influencer and social media campaign. Furthermore, Mentos has supplied 30 influencers with real-life, functioning Fizzookas to create more content with.
