McEwan’s celebrates Father’s Day with seven cans of Export

McEwan's beer cans through the ages

McEwan’s has unveiled a new outdoor digital advertising campaign to celebrate Father’s Day.

The adverts feature a rotating can of McEwan’s Export, moving through six previous identities before resting on the current branding. They chart the changing face of the beer can, which has itself reflected the changing face of popular culture over the years.

“We know that people have enjoyed the same great taste of McEwan’s Export across the generations,” explained Tara Karimian, McEwan’s Brand Manager, “and we wanted to show how the look of the beer has moved with the times, yet remains a trusted and enjoyable favourite.”

The new campaign features two adverts, each of 10 seconds, with one version running on Saturday 13th and the other on Sunday 14th June. They will be shown across sites in Edinburgh and Central Glasgow.

Karimian concluded: “These adverts provide retailers and drinkers with the reassurance that our aims reflect the grand plans and great ambitions of William McEwan when he first established his brewery and that the enduring appeal of McEwan’s Export will continue across the generations, not just on Father’s Day.”
