Mars relaunches Sweet Sundays

Mars Chocolate has launched its Sweet Sundays promotion for a fourth consecutive year. The UK-wide on-pack promotion offers consumers free cinema tickets across the summer and autumn season, and will run until 14th October.

The promotion will be displayed across packs of Mars Chocolate’s bitesize lines including Maltesers, Revels, M&M’s Peanut, M&M’s Choco, M&M’s Crispy, Galaxy Minstrels, Galaxy Counters and Milky Way Magic Stars.

Last year Sweet Sundays drove the entire bitesize category value sales up by 20%, with bitesize performance boosting the overall confectionery category. The on-pack promotion allows consumers to receive free cinema tickets with the purchase of a combination of sharing pouches, standard pouches and through a text to win mechanic on singles packs, driving multiple sales and increasing repeat purchases in store.

Mars Chocolate is supporting the campaign with a £1.1m media spend, including TV advertising, and retailers are encouraged to stock up on the range and make the most out of the accompanying POS units to maximise sales.
