Mars launches Galaxy Duet

Mars Chocolate UK has unveiled the new sub-brand Galaxy Duet.

The two Galaxy Duet variants, Cookies & Cream, and Caramel & Shortcake, will bring popular combinations to the Chocolate category in a brand new format. A permanent addition to the Galaxy family, Galaxy Duet will be available to retailers in single pack format from August with an rrp of 60p.

The Duet bar includes two flavours which can be eaten separately or combined giving consumers the freedom to experiment and create. Mars said that during testing, the concept was found to be one of the most successful of any innovation across its brands.

The new product will be supported with a dedicated TV advert, with an investment of £1.5m on TV advertising during the launch period across four weeks. It will also be supported by a £12m media spend throughout 2015.
