Landmark Wholesale and Today’s Group fascias will continue as they are, if the proposed merger between the two buying groups goes ahead.
The Managing Directors of Landmark and Today’s, John Mills and Darren Goldney, have issued a joint statement to ease concerns retailers may have about the future.
“We would like to reassure these retailers that the fascias will continue as they are, however they will benefit from a stronger, scaled-up Group working closely with suppliers to do an even better job,” they said.
Both buying groups operate a number of fascias. These include Today’s Extra, Today’s Local, Today’s Express, Today’s Drinks, Day Today, Day Today Express, Lifestyle Express, Lifestyle Extra and Lifestyle Value.
Goldney and Mills said these “have been invested in by our retailers and wholesale members to create contemporary store formats that satisfy the needs of their customers on a daily basis”.
