Lambert & Butler receives a refresh

This information is for tobacco traders only

The entire Lambert & Butler range is to receive a pack refresh, with Lambert & Butler returning to its historic roots and L&B Blue receiving a new, modern twist.

As well as pack redesigns, the update will also see Lambert & Butler Original and Smooth rebranded as ‘Silver’ and ‘Smooth Gold’, with hinge lids replacing the current Glide Tec format on smooth and menthol variants. The full flavour Glide Tec variant now features a new ‘Platinum’ design.

Meanwhile, L&B Blue will also see a pack redesign alongside further rebranding, with King Size transitioning to ‘Real Blue’ and Smooth becoming ‘Smooth Blue’.

Madeleine Pearce, Brand Chassis Manager for Imperial Tobacco, commented: “This striking reimagining of the original Lambert & Butler range celebrates the brand’s premium feel and cultural heritage.

“Meanwhile, L&B Blue’s market share has catapulted to almost 3.5% since its launch last year, small wonder given its winning combination of big brand reassurance at a pocket-happy price. This quirky redesign further establishes L&B Blue as very much its own animal.

“Crucially, both Lambert & Butler offerings provide retailers with the chance to maintain competitive profit margins, and we recommend they stock the complete range to cater for all their customer needs.”

The full Lambert & Butler range is available in both standard and price-marked packs, while stocks last.
