Following the launch of the La Tomato and La Yuzu Japanese liqueurs, Love Drinks has now completed the trio with the roll out of La Matcha Liqueur.
Produced in Tokyo by sake and shochu producer, Godo Shusei, the La Matcha Liqueur combines matcha tea, sake and molasses-based alcohol.
Tasting notes describe it as “an intense green in appearance, on the nose the liqueur offers those aromatic matcha tea aromas. Perfectly balancing the bitterness of the tea with the sweetness of the molasses, the liqueur is silky smooth and has a vibrant, lingering finish with satisfying herbal hints.”
Colourful and versatile, the new on-trend liqueur can be used to add a matcha twist on a basil smash, piña colada, margarita, gimlet, mimosa, mojito or even a boozy variation on a hot matcha latte.
