KP’s SnacKPartners programme has invited ambassadors to take part in its second forum of 2017. Held in Dunstable, the event featured a range of retailers and speakers, including SGF President Dennis Williams.
Along with an in-depth look at the latest sector developments, the forum focused on building a two-way dialogue with retailers, while also shedding light on recent changes to KP Snacks’ own offering. Discussions from key figures at KP Snacks covered the acquisition of Butterkist, product performance by channel and guidance around maximising sales in Impulse.
The SnacKPartners forum is designed to champion retailers first and foremost: by giving them a voice, an exclusive look at upcoming NPD and providing impartial category advice on the snacking market.
As well as Dennis, its latest meeting featured leading independent and symbol group retailers from across the country including: Sunder Sandher, Raaj Chandarana, Avtar Sidhu, Raj Aggarwal, Dee Sedani, Kishor Patel and Steve Bassett.
Matt Collins, Sales Director for Convenience, Wholesale, Discounters & Foodservice at KP Snacks, said: “We’re thrilled to bring our SnacKPartner retailers together for a second time this year. It’s extremely useful to hear straight from the retailers what’s working and what isn’t. At the same time, we’re committed to providing genuinely valuable insight that can help their businesses evolve and drive sales.
“The forum follows new store trials stretching throughout England and Scotland too. Our latest scheme will see a number of convenience stores test KP’s latest category initiatives, in line with insights and trends we’ve gleaned. We can’t wait to see the results.”
Raj Aggarwal from Spar in Wigston said: “As the SnacKPartners forum matures, it only gets better. I want to say a big thank you to KP Snacks from all of us for making a difference and understanding our concerns as retailers. It really does help us grow the category in store.”
The next SnacKPartners Ambassador Forum is due to take place in December 2017.
