Kinder Chocolate with Cereals is designed for kids’ taste buds, apparently. The aim of the new recruit to the Kinder range is to boost penetration by broadening the Kinder Chocolate range to cater for the after school snacking occasion, whilst still retaining the brand’s relevant and differentiated proposition, ‘Invented for Kids. Approved by mums.’ But does it succeed? The only way to find out is to see how it sells and so this month Woodlands Local added the NPD to its confectionery fixture, dual siting on the promotional gondola end, and the results are impressive. “They’ve been selling well from the minute we put them on the fixture,” says store manager Gerry Begley. “Mums have been curious about the new addition to the range as Kinder has always been popular with kids, and I’m confident these will continue to sell well.”
